As I wanted to have some sort of cutting table, as well as a place to use a small propane stove or a portable BBQ, I thought the rod holders could do double duty.
The above picture is the finished product. Note, as this picture was taken when the boat was on the trailer in my driveway, the trailer guide post behind is not part of the cutting table.
I made a 12" x 20" top and used some stainless bolts and wing nuts in order to mount it to a rod holder mount. The wing nuts would allow the unit to be taken apart for easier storage.
I can still smell that pot of fresh mussels boiling on the stove right now.
