As the aft port and starboard sides didn't have a lot of protection to deter any chafing from fishing lines, and I needed an additional railing to allow easier re-boarding when snorkelling, as well as for docking fenders, I fabricated some stainless steel rails from the same tubing used for the bow rail from the factory. To keep everything consistent with the factory look, I obtained the same type of mounting bases used by Trophy. In addition, everything was installed with backing plates to avoid any future spider cracking in the gelcoat.
Note: I installed the trailer guides as soon as I took delivery of the boat. I find these very beneficial, especially with the draft of the boat and the fact that the bunk trailer has to be submerged when launching/re-loading.
