As the boat came from the factory with the Mercury Smartcraft Monitor already installed, I decided to purchase the depth sounder/temperature sensor for the system rather than purchasing another complete system that would require the addition of another gauge at the helm.
From the above picture of the helm, you can see the Mercury Smartcraft Monitor display unit installed between the speedometer and the tachometer , next to the fuel gauge.
Below, the in-hull transducer unit is installed in the rear bilge pump area, accessed via the hatch in the motor well. On the left is the transducer, in the upper middle is the aft bilge pump, and on the right is the Marleon sea cock for the raw water washdown intake line (I decided on Marleon as it does not require a bonding wire and is totally resistant to corrosion in a saltwater environment).
